European conference on Tick-Borne Diseases
Welcome to ETBD 2026 - Editorial from the organizing committee
Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends,
Building on the success of the first edition in Paris, we are delighted to announce that the next edition will be held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
The European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases Study Group for Tick-Borne Diseases (ESGBOR) together with the Romanian Lyme Disease Society (SRBL) and the “Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca (UMF) are jointly organizing for the second time the European Tick-Borne Diseases Conference (ETBD).
This event will take place at the Grand Hotel Napoca in Cluj Napoca in Romania on November 12-13, 2026.
ETBD 2026 is the place for experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals to come together, share insights, and collaborate on the prevention, epidemiology, diagnosis, and management of tick-borne diseases. The conference will emphasize the One Health approach, highlighting the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health.
This year, participants will also have the chance to take part in practical workshops, where real-life, high-interest clinical cases will be discussed, offering hands-on learning and lively interaction.
We especially encourage young scientists to join, with reduced registration fees and the opportunities to win awards for the best researches.
Join us at ETBD 2026 to be part of this landmark event that brings together field leaders, facilitates the exchange of current research, and encourages collaborations that will shape the future of tick-borne disease prevention and treatment.
Best regards,
The ETBD Organizing Committee
